If somebody'd said before the flight, "Are you going to get carried away looking at the earth from the moon?" I would have said, "No, no way." But yet when I first looked back at the earth, standing on the moon, I cried. - Alan Shepard

Tim Finnegan found his love of photography around the age of 12, when he made a working pinhole camera out of an empty can of Pringles and developed the photograph in his school’s lab.  Over the years, Tim would find himself in and out of photography, as the demands of school, work and family took front seat.  In recent years, however, Tim rediscovered his interest in photography and committed himself to the art.

Tim has had the opportunity to live in various locations around the United States, as well as overseas.  In 2008, Tim came to live in Oregon, where he currently resides.

Tim defines himself as a photographer of unique moments in time.  He has historically focused his attention on subjects in nature - mountains, waterfalls, trees, etc. - though as he continues to practice, the nature of his subjects continues to evolve.

Tim uses a Canon digital SLR camera and lenses.  In production, he uses Adobe Lightroom to process the images he captures, often pushing color and contrast to transform the images into the bold, final products he presents.

Please take your time to browse through and enjoy the photography.  If you are interested in prints, please head to my Etsy store here.  Prints can be made in a variety of sizes, depending on the photograph.  They can be mounted and matted if you so desire.  I leave the framing up to the buyer.
